Today, key stakeholders convened at Jinja Regional Referral Hospital for a high-level strategic engagement bringing together civil society organizations, patient advocates, community champions, healthcare professionals, and development partners committed to advancing the fight against sickle cell disease.
The meeting focused on strengthening clinical care and comprehensive management of sickle cell disease, while also addressing critical priorities including stakeholder coordination, institutional accountability, sustainability frameworks, and innovative resource mobilization strategies. Discussions emphasized the urgent need for stronger multi-sector collaboration, resilient healthcare systems, and long-term investment in patient-centered care and advocacy.

Convened by @IBloodDisorders alongside strategic partners, the engagement reaffirmed a shared commitment to transforming outcomes for individuals and families affected by sickle cell disease through coordinated action, policy influence, and sustainable health interventions.
