When I think about vocabulary I think about “just in time “ learning. #ngss Context, conceptual experience very important prior to offering the scientific language .
Say it louder! Say NO to frontloading! It's not effective. Also TELLING Ss what they are "about to learn" is no way to get students to do any of the intellectual work. People who suggest otherwise don't believe (certain) Ss CAN learn #FiguringOut#BestPractices#ResearchBased
