@0xOurumov@MattWalshBlog Because they're not paying attention to the latest science. They're parsing this as if it's a what-if in reference to them alone living forever. Fundamentals are being disrupted at such a break neck speed that anyone not following the latest info is living in another world.
@MattWalshBlog Can't wait till A.I. solves aging like it solved protein folding. Then we'll see if Matt Walsh and his fellow fatalists are really about that (after)life.
@KanekoaTheGreat@grok "[N]o justice—regardless of philosophy—believes "natural" rights are immune to being altered or removed through a proper constitutional amendment under Article V." -Grok
@KanekoaTheGreat@grok Does any current member of the Supreme Court recognize natural rights, or do they all think any of our "natural" rights can be taken away so long as it's done via constitutional amendment?
@rjanderson187@libsoftiktok It varies by state, but one such example: 50 years for murder. A day off for each day of good behavior, so 25 years. Around 4 years off for completing timecut programs (education, drug rehab, etc.). Upon release, one faces a return to DOC for any infraction (lifetime parole).
@AnnCoulter Privatizing prisons would only work if the contracts were based on reducing recidivism. (They're not, which is why current privatized prisons are a disaster.) You would then need the gov't to actually enforce the contract, but the gov't sucks at that, too.
The cause of expensive homes? Regulation.
Government can’t even manage its own permits!
Dallas tried to improve its process by moving all permitters into one building.
But then, they moved them out.
The building didn’t have the right permits!
@thedrewf @DoctorLemma Yup. I was at a Red Lobsters in Indiana at the time and had the exact same experience. Wasn't sure if anyone was even paying attention, but when the plane came in for the landing, the whole restaurant went quiet & then erupted in cheers.
@Danfromumbrella@walterkirn In the case of the tic tac incident (which did not involve Graves), none of the pilots were told that what they saw was a black project craft and then required to sign an NDA (which was standard operating procedure according to one of the pilots).
@Bobby1_x@elonmusk Because Blaire White doesn't support "trans ideology." It's like the difference between someone who dresses up as a cat for Halloween versus someone who thinks they're an actual cat.
@LiveEvil8@WillioHydro@merissahansen17 The CIA was tasked with raising funds from the exile community. Some of those funds likely came from people involved in selling drugs, but nowhere near the amount necessary to create a crack epidemic. There was a story there, just not the one that has taken on epic proportions.
@WillioHydro@merissahansen17 "I never believed, and never wrote, that there was a grand CIA conspiracy behind the crack plague...The CIA couldn't even mine a harbor without getting its trench coat stuck in its fly". -Gary Webb
@richgel999 I had the feeling when Elizondo & Grusch came out that this was Disclosure, Argo-style. They had been tasked with playing the role of all-American whistleblower while pushing for amnesty. I haven't seen Age of Disclosure, but I've read that amnesty is the prevailing theme.
