Some of you guys listen to the news, multiple streams, Benzinga Charlie and random alerts all while trading
Then you wonder why you’re not profitable
You need to focus on one thing only:
Price.
I love that everyone has lost some money on long term ports today
But they will be back Monday hungrier than ever to get their losses back
That’s the attitude of a determined trader
That’s what you need to be successful
What an amazing opportunity prediction markets offer family owned businesses.
If Montana doesn’t see heavy snowfall, rentals remain vacant and owners suffer. Kalshi presents the opportunity to hedge their business based on snowfall creating a win-win situation!
@Kalshi
Ascend Properties manages a portfolio of luxury rentals in Big Sky, Montana, one of the country’s top ski destinations.
Weak December snowfall doesn’t just hurt the holidays. It drags down bookings for the rest of the season.
So rather than hope for powder, Adam Farr, who runs Ascend, hedged the risk on Kalshi. He took a $2,000 position on Big Sky getting below-average snowfall in December.
If the snow comes, bookings run as normal and Ascend serves the ski crowd like any other season.
If it doesn’t, the Kalshi position pays out, helping offset lost bookings while Ascend waits for winter to show up.
Either way, Adam’s business is protected.
If you’re a trader, know this
The market doesn’t care what you think or where you believe price might go
Your job is to react to price, not predict it.
Learn this, succeed.
