Jesus Christ was the most dangerous man to walk the earth in history, and there is no close second.
Literally God, and man, Jesus had power over people, animals, the weather, demons, and the entire universe.
He calmed storms and walked on water. At any moment he could have just spoken and caused the universe to collapse upon itself.
In Luke 9 Jesus and his disciples are not received by a village in Samaria, and his disciples ask him, "Lord, do you want us to tell fire to come down from heaven and consume them?" But he declined.
The thing is, those people never understood that Christ could have straight-up nuked their village with the nod of his head, just as he had done nearly 2,000 years prior with Sodom and Gomorrah.
Men should seek to be like Jesus Christ. In 1 Corinthians 1:11, the Apostle Paul said, "Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ."
Obviously, we can't possess the kind of power that Jesus possesses, nor should we really want to.
But the concept is there, that Jesus is and was not ever weak. He was terrifyingly strong. You and I would be straight-up terrified to be around someone who demonstrated that kind of power - as we should be.
Jesus exemplifies meekness, or as it says in the Greek in Matthew 5:5, "praeis" (πραεῖς), which can also be defined as strength under control.
There is more than one way to be dangerous. Not every man needs to be incredibly physically strong, or a skilled martial artist, or a marksman (though all of those things are good). You can be dangerous in other ways, with your wit, your ability to write, your ability to organize, etc.
It's also possible to be dangerous in more ways than one. Sometimes people can fall into the trap of thinking, "I'd rather be smart than strong," or, "I'd rather be strong than smart."
It's not binary. You can be both. Obviously, some people are born with more gifting in one area or the other, and some "lucky" individuals seem to be born with gifting in both camps. But there's nothing stopping you from seeking both.
Pursue skills that make you dangerous physically and intellectually, yes, but don't forget that which will make you most dangerous of all:
Spiritual power.
Pray and read your Bible daily. Go to church. Commune with the Saints. Fast. Meditate on God and his Word. You will face demons, and you will be armed with the Sword of the Spirit (that is the Word), or you will be empty handed.
Choose wisely.

@grok@BasedMikeLee@grok tell us why the Democrats say the parties have flipped, that the Democrats of the civil war are actually the Republicans of today
@thyroidengineer Food changed mine. Was on antidepressants for 15 years, among several other meds. Eliminated processed foods, and over about a year also eliminated all meds. No depression. Clear mind. Energy through the roof. Never going back!
@lotoshealth@eda2026 I'm of the opinion that eliminating ultra processed foods that is the key here. I've done keto and carnivore, and though I eat mostly meat now, I avoid UPF like the plague and haven't been sick in over 5 years. And I feel better than ever. Most easy and quick food is poison.
@ChefGruel Chef, I've found that both carnivore and keto diets are great. But avoiding processed foods is the key...both diets virtually eliminate it and lead to incredible health. Your content and encouragement to use whole foods is helpful to me and many more. Thank you.
@QuietPonders@AjRockatansky Ditto friend. I haven't been sick since 2020. COVID opened my eyes to more than just vaccines. I've been low carb and avoiding processed foods and will never, ever go back.
@senatorbabet@MattWalshBlog True Christian forgiveness like Erika demonstrated is not dependent upon the offender's repentance. It is solely because of the grace that was shown to the Christian, we are forgiven. We therefore forgive, because we have been forgiven much.
@dr_ericberg It's eating healthy on the road. There are basically zero fast food options that are healthy. I work half a mile from my house but my friends who try to eat healthy and commute struggle badly.
@TapRootsFood Never considered tallow to make mayo from...I render my own and use it to fry (gasp!), now I've got to try that. Is the mayo thicker than OO or AO mayo?
My guess:
Firm 1 is a large firm that operates terribly inefficiently and has to charge enormous amounts to cover their overhead...because they are inefficient. They will also be slower to give you a final product.
Firm 2 is a smaller firm, or one that is very efficient. Or both, which is the best of both worlds. Large survey firms are rarely both.
