Unsure what scared me most about the VideoGuard
found on today's walk.
The alarm? The lights? The loud Northern Irish accent telling me "Your presence has been detected, The police have been notified".
At least it didn't shoot me. I have seen the film Aliens.
So I have.

Used the Go Jauntly App for the first stage of the Bristol Ring Walk.
From Temple Meads, along the former Bath line, some green spaces to the River Avon and up Troopers Hill.
Just needed a pub or two on route π€£
Saddened to read of the passing of Dave Chapman, the ex-landlord of the Albion pub in Goldsmiths Row. The Albion was the home to great football memorabilia (mainly #WBA & #Celtic).
More so, Dave was a brilliant guy, with so many wonderful stories. Thoughts with his loved ones
Can't disagree with this...
And I recently discovered a fresh layer of hell. A connecting train leaving from Platform 4C. Who knew there's just one platform that gets a C π€£
Without doubt, Birmingham New Street is the most confusing station in the country. Whoever designed it should consider another, entirely different, career.

Watched the DVD of an old Play for Today - Penda's Fen. An eerie folk-horror that crams a lot into 90 minutes.
Then I set off to find the filming locations in Chaceley, Gloucestershire, following a @countrywalking magazine route from Jan 1995.

Remote Good Beer Guide Ticking.
The Railway Inn at Ripple, Worcestershire.
Not the easiest to get to. I've lived in Worcestershire all my life and never heard of the village π€£

Does this explain why I just ain't feeling it?
Or is it that the Champions league finished less than a fortnight night ago, the Times wall chart was shite and I haven't heard a tournament anthem?
Hope I warm up to it.

Visiting Stately Homes - Madresfield Court enjoyable but I am unsure I enjoyed it as much as my fellow traveller. It was her third visit this year.
90 minutes, takeaway cake and back on the 44 bus to ensure the beer quality at the Plough in Worcester remains up to scratch.

In preparation for tomorrow's tour of Madresfield Court - the setting for the book, Brideshead Revisited, I've watched the TV series and now the film adaptation.
Brideshead Revisited, revisited.

Nuneaton, for a George Eliot themed walk from a sixties guidebook. Over the years, access has been revoked into Arbury Park and Astley Castle.
Bass found at the quite bonkers nautically themed Lord Nelson at Ansley. Always love a pub that names the bus stop back to town.

Finally went to this estate pub that is on my route home on the bus.
Landlady knew (and cared for) everyone. Even the kids coming in off the green
Heartwarming.
