Psychiatrists focus on natural fears, uncertainties, insecurities, and stresses experienced by individuals in their everyday lives.

These normal reactions to abnormal conditions are misinterpreted and redefined before being categorised as so-called mental illnesses requiring "treatment."

For an industry that purports to have mental health as its focus, the negative narratives from the psychiatric fraternity are indicative of an industry that's more interested in the discovery and continuation of mental illness.

It represents a dwindling spiral for many unsuspecting citizens who turned to mental health services for help but who then found themselves involuntarily detained and forcibly treated with mind-altering drugs. It's inhumane and it's criminal.

Prescribed antipsychotic drugs are also known as neuroleptics (meaning nerve-seizing), major tranquillisers, anti-schizophrenia drugs and chemical straitjackets. Haloperidol and Olanzapine fall into this drug category. They are primarily prescribed for conditions such as schizophrenia.

A common side effect of these drugs is a severe neurological condition called akathisia, (a word derived from a, without; kathisia, sitting; an inability to keep still). It creates profound inner restlessness, torment, and terror, which can lead to impulsive suicide and acts of violence. It is characterised by an uncontrollable urge to move, leading to constant pacing, fidgeting, and increased risk of aggression.

Psychiatrists know antipsychotic drugs can cause akathisia, but rarely warn patients that it might occur.

Repeating a message is vital. For some people, the following message is one they've never heard before.

It may come as a surprise that psychiatrists make false claims about the therapeutic effects of #ECT. While the rhetoric about shocking the brain is continually accepted without inspection, many people don't realise ECT causes brain damage.

This happens when the brain is heated to dangerously high temperatures with high-voltage electricity. Members of the public and even ECT patients don't know this. Why don't they know? Because psychiatrists can't admit inflicting this level of physical damage. If they did, it would jeopardise the jobs and the lifestyles of those who push the "treat" button. It could even jeopardise their liberty. After all, inflicting brain damage is a criminal offence.

The Royal College of Psychiatrists has once again been lamenting the chronic problem of recruitment. The European Medical Journal recently published an article titled Latest Census Exposes Consultant Psychiatrist Shortage in England. It reported one in seven consultant psychiatrist posts are vacant. As usual, the College points to the Government to address the situation. As usual, the College is pointing in the wrong direction.

It would be more appropriate for the College did a root and branch reform of the psychiatric profession and its practices. At present, people don't recover, they are drugged and/or electroshocked, suffer iatrogenic illness and are made into patients for life.

Some of the recruitment campaigns over the years are revealing in terms of what some psychiatrists think of their profession. In 2008, an article was published in the British Journal of Psychiatry. Under the heading "Wake-up call for British psychiatry", it reported “…it is commonplace in the UK to hear non-psychiatrists – and frequently psychiatrists themselves – referring to psychiatrists as not being ‘proper’ doctors.”

Eighteen years later, recruitment problems still exist and the idea that psychiatrists aren't proper doctors hasn't gone away.

Being fully informed about psychiatry is not just a mantra for patients. It's a mantra for postgraduate medical students too.

In medicine, a condition is only labelled a disease after it has met strict standards: you have to isolate a predictable group of symptoms, be able to locate the cause of the symptoms or see how they function. This must all be proven and established by a physical test such as a blood test or X-ray.

While mainstream physical medicine treats diseases, psychiatry only deals with "disorders", and psychiatric drugs only treat symptoms. C A N C E R WAS CURED IN 1934. THE MAN WHO DID THIS WAS DESTROYED

His name was Royal Raymond Rife. He built the most powerful optical microscope in history and became the first human being to see a live virus. Not a dead sample, tainted. A living organism, in real time, at 60,000x magnification.

But that was not his crime. His crime was what he did next.

Rife discovered that each microorganism has a specific resonant frequency, a “deadly oscillatory rate.” When exposed to that exact frequency, the organism broke like a glass of glass struck by the right note. The healthy tissue around was completely unharmed.

In 1934, the University of Southern California conducted a clinical trial. 16 patients with terminal cancer were treated with the Rife frequency device. In 90 days, 14 were declared completely healed. The other 2 healed within the next 4 weeks.

Success rate of 100%. Zero side effects. And without a surgery. No radiation. No chemo therapy.

What happened next is the part they don't teach you. AMA chief Morris Fishbein offered to buy Rife technology. Rifle rejected He wanted it to be available to everyone.

Within a few months, his laboratory was destroyed by a fire. His research partners were threatened. Doctors who participated in the trial were told they would forfeit their medical licenses if they spoke publicly about the results. The Rife team was seized. His name was erased from medical history.

Dead in 1971, broken and forgotten. Cancer killed more than 300 million people in the following decades.

300 million people. Died from a disease that was cured 90 years ago.

Psychiatrists and their membership organisation, the Royal College of Psychiatrists, consistently and brazenly claim that electroconvulsive therapy (#ECT) is used on consenting patients.

It's an entirely misleading claim on the basis that ECT patient information leaflets don't inform recipients about the brain damage which occurs as a result of being electroshocked.

• Patients aren't told about the greater quantity of electricity required to induce a convulsion in a heavily drugged and anaesthetised person.

• Patients aren't told the increased current flow used in "new and improved" ECT generates increased heat and can kill brain cells.

• Patients aren't told that scans taken of ECT patients have shown scarring and brain shrinkage.

• Patients aren't told the amount of electricity needed to induce a seizure is different for each patient, and that many tries and many additional shocks may be required, each one carrying with it brain and organ damage.

All this means patients aren't making a fully informed choice and aren't giving informed consent.

The worst aspect of this entire charade is that brain damage is being inflicted with impunity and psychiatrists are the perpetrators.
