Rep. Pramila Jayapal said that “more than half” of the Congressional Progressive Caucus’ 96 members are committed to voting against the bipartisan infrastructure package unless it is accompanied by the $3.5 trillion reconciliation bill.

@ImmigrationUS_A@WhiteHouse My wife selected in DV 2019 program.
My daughter became upset when the embassy officer told, He couldn't give us a visa because of the Presidential Proclamation 9645". she isn't previous happy girl now.
There is still a question for us.
They destroyed our dreams. For what sin?
@WhiteHouse Ending the #muslimban did nothing to alleviate the agony of #DVlottery winners. The number of winners watching their win turn into a loss steadily increased from #DV2017 to now #DV2021. Need Congressional action to end this nightmare.

Joseph Stiglitz is one of 17 Nobel Prize-winning economists who signed an open letter in support of Biden’s Build Back Better Plan — here's why he thinks Congress should pass the reconciliation bill
Jayapal says “half” the 95-member progressive caucus is prepared to vote down the infrastructure bill unless the larger budget bill passes the Senate.
“We can’t move the other bill forward until we pass reconciliation,” she says.
.@RepJayapal, after meeting privately with Pelosi for ~90 minutes, says she made clear to the Speaker: “At this point, if we don't have the reconciliation bill done, the infrastructure bill will not pass.”
Progressives in both chambers of Congress are clear: We have to meet this moment and build back better.
Thank you to @SenSanders and our Senate colleagues for insisting we stick to the deal and pass the President's entire agenda.
The bipartisan infrastructure bill & the budget reconciliation bill go together. This is how we fix our roads & bridges, achieve #UniversalChildCare, expand Medicare & fight climate change.
“What the Biden admin has done to the diversity visa program in deprioritizing, it contravenes those campaign promises, and we’re worse off because of it. We really draw from the strength of our diverse population.”
Tens of thousands of diversity visa winners lost their chance to immigrate to the US under the racist Muslim ban.
My and @RitchieTorres' bill will ensure we keep our promise to these immigrants. I'm calling on my colleagues in Congress to act.

Trump's racist & anti-immigrant policies left diversity visa applicants in limbo. We cannot let this be his lasting legacy.
Let's start with my amendment that would allow unused 2020 & 2021 diversity visas to remain available after Sept. 30. https://t.co/vFORKVeguQ
"We are not just case numbers. We are people. … This is our only chance for a better future."
The Diversity Visa program was targeted by former President Trump in 2017 — but applicants remain in limbo under the new administration. https://t.co/4DdRH2HrQf
"Diversity visa applicants could miss a once-in-a-lifetime chance… The government has to process their applications by a September 30 deadline; otherwise, they lose their spot. And they likely won’t win the lottery again,” @nicolenarea for @VoxDotCom

Diversity visa applicants could miss a once-in-a-lifetime chance to come to the US. The govt has to process their applications by September or they lose their spot. The chances to win the lottery again is less than 1% of being selected from 23 million https://t.co/qm1wkcqApc
Trump’s racist immigration policy has left thousands of diversity visa applicants in limbo.
These are real people’s lives -- and I’m calling on @JoeBiden and my colleagues in Congress to act to protect them.

Not just in Limbo, the awful plight of #DVlottery winners from #DV2017 to #DV2020 has been completely sidelined and disregarded by all of current administration, despite the constant cry for help from the #DVwinners, their lawyers and some organizations .
