That is extremely unlikely. #1 They are fully briefed for some"security," like the military. #2 If synthetic telepathy is relatively congruent, it's just honing responses in mind reading. #3 If it is just repeating thoughts or a song, it's obvious and distractive. 4# If it is foreign to a person's mind or gotesque, it is obvious. Last, the system is always exploiting vulnerabilities and propensities, but after awareness a person is still definitely responsible for crimes perpetrated against others. It is definitely not magic and after awareness, only the most mentally unstable can not distinguish the stark artifice.
