Point of no return - Electric buses have gone from 12% to 56% of new city bus sales in Europe in just six years

Some nations are already at or close to 100%. Look at the Nordics, the Baltics, the Netherlands, Romania, Bulgaria and more.

In some cases the transition has been extremely rapid. Estonia went from 0% to 100% in two years.

At this rate, Europe's 2035 target of 100% zero emission bus sales could be reached as early as 2028.

High mileage and centralised operations mean electric buses are cheaper to operate than diesel.

Buses have fast fleet turnover so the shift will affect entire fleets far sooner than many expect, delivering quieter streets and cleaner city air.
