I've signed up for probably 15 AI tools this year. I still use 3 of them. The rest were just shiny new object syndrome and FOMO, as well as legitimate testing.
If you're spending more time testing tools than doing the actual work, that's a problem.
If you have a blocker/challenge, find the tool to solve it. Don't go looking for new problems to solve.
We just launched our 3rd in-house game for the affiliate business.
Most affiliates send traffic to operators and collect a rev share. That's it. We did the same for years.
But when you build your own game, you control the experience before the player even reaches the operator. You learn what they actually want. You get data you'd never see as a pure referral partner.
Affiliates who want to be around in 5 years need to start thinking like product companies.
Own the relationship somewhere else before you lose it.
Affiliates who are 100% reliant on Google traffic are building on rented land.
I've been in affiliate marketing for 15+ years. The sites that survived every Google update had one thing in common: they were pushing traffic into channels they owned. Email lists, Telegram channels, Whatsapp groups, social audiences.
You can run retention campaigns for your operators. You can sell your own products down the line. You're not starting from zero every time Google decides to reshuffle the deck.
We run a Beehiiv newsletter and multiple Telegram channels. We also run Push notifications quite heavily.
Every click that comes through our sites, we're asking: can we capture this person into a channel we control before we send them to the operator?
The affiliate who only sends traffic straight to the operator is leaving money and business longevity on the table.
If your sites are still ranking, lean into them. But start funnelling some of that traffic into owned channels now.
@CharlesHSavage@EasyEquities I just built my first AI basket. Was seamless. Would love to see if we can incorporate some of this into the financial media business we're building
@MediaKing We’re doing this at the moment. Landing page with gamification (we’re in gaming), email sign up, page optin and SMS, then show offer.
What are you using for push? We’re using onesignal
Tried for a couple weeks to grow a new marketing channel funnel.
Plan: FB ads / adnetworks ➡️email newsletter ➡️ promo.
Results: very few sign ups at relative high cost.
Plan B: FB ads / adnetworks ➡️ telegram ➡️ email AND direct promo.
Results: high volume and high value.
Always test! This game is simply success by failed tests
@MediaKing Building up the email DB is great, but only if the subs are "buying" more than once. In gambling it's fine, as most users have multiple betting accounts, but was wondering about the fin sector
@MediaKing quick question for you. You currently buy traffic - email sign up - send email - push to offer.
Would it not make more sense to just: buy traffic - push to offer?
I can't imagine lots of email subs sign up for multiple financial offers, or maybe they do?
