@AZadarski I see it as a backchannel. I'll give you info on my team, and once in a while I'll ask you what you're hearing about in a corner of the league that I don't have good connections with. Everybody involved knows the give and take nature
@PuckDontLie As a MTL fan, I do not want TOR to get Werenski. It's been the BIGGEST problem this team has had from an outsider's perspective, the thought that Reilly was more than a 2nd line D. He's not a QB and if TOR had a real QB at their peak, they would've been deadly.
@P__Airoldi He rejected $12M in Dallas (also no state tax) which is a contender team. I think he's trying to get the Dallas offer up. I don't think he wants to leave there.
@gallymeroreboot@tylerwat2002 Would you regret it if the return was a top 6 forward that plays right now, gets you 70pts every season? It's not "Trade Pickford for draft picks" it's use has as a high value trade asset to get what the team needs right now.
@v4ny2@habsburners He just rejected $15M in Seattle, and he rejected $12M from Dallas, a team with no state tax. Even with the cap going up, this is not worth the price. The message you send to the guys who took pay cuts is going to cause damage internally.
@BetterCallField I would agree, except look at the trades that are happening this week, most players are being overvalued. The market is heavily on overpaying, most likely due to a very weak UFA lot to spend the new cap space on.
@_JordanDecker Remove Reinbacher\Pickford. Dach and the pick would be the offer. McTavish is a guy who was getting benched and does not mesh with his coach. They need to move him.
@HabsChronicle yeah it's kind of like selling your house because the value has gone up, but then you realize you need to spend that money you made to buy a new place.
He has value, but it would have to return 2-3 roster players that are an improvement on what they have
@DJSkead@MatthewEvolves his current salary is fair market for 2 of his 8 seasons. his last two seasons are a total of 96pts
Vancouver has traded every excuse in EP40's way.
He has the talent but he needs some Ted Lasso attention to fix his mindset.
@_JordanDecker IMO, it's an overpay by Montreal. Lafreniere has a lot of growth needed to merit his salary and everybody points to his last 28 games of the season. Out of 6 seasons, we're hoping that 28 games are a true measure.
NYR would recup cap space. I wouldn't overpay. Bryce & 28th pick
