A very, very good day.
This isn’t a loan, that’s just a technical name. It’s a gift that draws from the value of Putins confiscated assets.
Thank-you, Europe. 🇪🇺🇺🇦
We are on our way to Cyprus with good news.
I welcome the agreement from the Member States on the 90 billion euro loan to Ukraine for 2026-27 and on 20th sanctions package.
While Russia doubles down on its aggression, we are doubling down on our support to the brave Ukrainian nation enabling Ukraine to defend itself and putting pressure on Russia’s war economy.
Now we will move to swiftly implement on both fronts.
President Trump has brought Peace to the Middle East, bringing an end to the decades long war with Iran started under Biden, which means I can finally afford eggs again and import cigars.
Not since Moses parting the Red Sea have we seen a miracle worker like President Trump. The Straight of Hormuz is now open for the first time in history, giving the Middle East their liberty and freedom of speech, just as Moses guaranteed in the first commandment.
When we say that the aggressor must not receive any reward for the war, so that peace can truly last, everyone must understand – these are not just words. Unfortunately, the world already had the chance to verify this twelve years ago. Russia’s war against Ukraine began with the occupation of our Crimea, and the world effectively turned a blind eye to this. The leaders back then showed little interest in the protests and resistance in Crimea and in Ukraine’s overall sentiment. The world advised Ukraine to stay silent. That is exactly why Putin came to believe he could wage a much larger war and confront the West even more aggressively.
Now, every year on February 26 – the Day of Resistance to the Occupation of Crimea – we remember this global lesson, honouring those who did not stay silent and did not falter in the face of Russian aggression, and we insist that holding the aggressor accountable for war is one of the strongest security guarantees – one of the strongest prerequisites for lasting peace.
I thank everyone around the world who supports us in this, participates in the work of our Crimea Platform and other international formats that remind the world about Crimea and the meaning of its occupation by Russia. I thank everyone who helps Ukraine resist Russian repression in Crimea, assists us in returning people from captivity, and prevents the occupying regime from consolidating its power. Russian presence on our peninsula serves only war, and nothing else. There must be peace, and therefore Crimea is Ukraine, and the world must always recognize this fact. Qırım evine qaytmalıdır! Glory to Ukraine!
By studying samples analyzed by the Curiosity rover, scientists have taken another step toward understanding whether life could have ever existed on Mars.
A new study suggests that non-biological sources cannot fully account for the abundance of organic compounds found in a sample collected by the rover.

🇭🇺 🇵🇱 Hungary vs Poland: a comparison of GDP growth dynamics
Orbán’s orientation toward Moscow has brought Budapest neither a breakthrough nor stability.
The numbers are the best answer to those who still believe in a “special path” with the Kremlin.
📷 The chart shows GDP growth in Q4 2025 for Hungary, the Czech Republic, and Poland. Data: Oxford Economics and Haver Analytics.
Investigating child sexual abuse material isn’t controversial.
Turning it into political theater is manipulation.
Maybe that logic flies on some island. Doesn’t fly in France.
🚨 It’s 1:00 a.m. in Iran. Here are my 15 key observations from Day 12 of nationwide protests [January 8]:
1️⃣ The largest anti-regime protests of the Islamic Republic’s 47-year history unfolded on Day 12. When aggregated nationwide, turnout reached multi-million levels.
2️⃣ Since the unrest began, protests have been reported in at least 111 cities across all 31 provinces, underscoring the truly national scope of the uprising.
3️⃣ Today’s protests followed the first-ever direct call by Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi, scheduled for 8:00 p.m. The response was widespread and visible across major cities.
4️⃣ Another nationwide call has already been issued for tomorrow at 8:00 p.m. Observers say the movement still has room to grow.
5️⃣ Analysts argue that the success of today’s call and dominant street slogans have effectively solidified Reza Pahlavi’s position as the central figure of the protests.
6️⃣ One of tonight’s largest demonstrations took place in Mashhad, Khamenei’s hometown and a city tightly controlled by his inner circle—a major symbolic blow.
7️⃣ In Tehran, protests expanded into more affluent neighborhoods like Vanak for the first time. Drivers joined in with continuous honking, while bazaar merchants went on strike in around 50 cities nationwide.
8️⃣ Student protests have erupted at 36 universities so far, with openly anti-regime slogans—an important escalation across generations.
9️⃣ Iranian human rights groups report at least 45 protesters killed, including 8 children, and hundreds injured. Yesterday alone saw 13 deaths, making it one of the bloodiest days so far.
🔟 Calls are growing—by both Iranian and non-Iranian activists—for world leaders to engage directly with Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi, including renewed attention to a potential meeting with Donald Trump and the provision of resources to help him better lead the uprising.
11. Trump, in a recent interview, reiterated warnings to the regime and said of Pahlavi:
“I’ve watched him, he seems like a nice person—but I’m not sure this is the right moment, as president, to do something like that.”
12. State media, while forced to acknowledge unrest, are pushing a narrative of “small crowds” and emphasizing alleged attacks on security forces—a pattern analysts warn may signal preparation for harsher repression.
13. Meanwhile, rare pro-regime gatherings were staged, alongside headlines declaring “the defeat of counter-revolutionaries”—widely seen as damage control.
14. Social media (Instagram) ahead of protests showed unprecedented public coordination and solidarity: shop closures announced in advance, emotional farewell messages, and strong virtual participation even from those unable to attend.
15. Outlook: Protests are expected to continue in the coming days—especially tomorrow. The movement’s success will hinge on the public’s ability to neutralize the Islamic Republic’s repressive apparatus. So far, the regime appears not to have deployed its full coercive capacity, relying instead on mass arrests and widespread injuries. If protests advance to the point of overrunning security and state institutions, the regime may resort to large-scale lethal violence. The role of Israel and the United States is crucial to the success of the protests. So far, there are no clear signs that the regime’s repressive apparatus is cracking.
