@KurianLab So in my case i studied and worked in Japan, got my PhD there in 3 years and have two kids…. Means I have 6+3+2x2 years from the time I started working in Germany… 13 years in total… unless I have some kids that I don’t know of 😉

@KurianLab If he has kids, you can add 2 years per kid, plus the years he did not use prior PhD time -so he has 6 years until PhD, let’s say he used only 3 years to get the PhD, means he has 6 + 3 years after PhD… if he worked in non European Universities the time after PhD doesn’t count.
