@AGHamilton29@JohnEkdahl I am fairly certain I started following you because of a Friday follow recommendation John posted a million years ago. Didnt know him but he was a great follow on here. Prayers to his family
@GreasioJason@PoolsMcPools@gregolsen88 I understand your point and why analytics says its the way to go. I, personally, prefer the option that gives me the best chance to get to the do or die play.
@GreasioJason@PoolsMcPools@gregolsen88 No I wouldn't. Give me the one play to tie or lose at the end of the game over the one play at 3:10 that only determines if I need one or two more possessions. Either way not converting at either point kills your odds of winning. We just disagree on when to do it
@RyleeGoodwin@JGreenwich@Romosexual91@gregolsen88 With 3:10 left having 2 timeouts I would kick the XP. My thinking is its gives you the better odds of getting to the one play to tie or win at the end. Missing the 2pt at 3:10 lessens the odds of even getting to that one play.
@GreasioJason@PoolsMcPools@gregolsen88 At 3:10 left in the game the odds of tying/winning the game are much better being down 8 than 9. That is indisputable. Vibes have nothing to do with it
@GreasioJason@gregolsen88 I didn't make it up. You said there was no data to support my position. I pointed to how the rest of the game played out as data supporting my position.
@GreasioJason@gregolsen88 Right now there is concrete data that shows missing the 2pt at 3:10 left gave Philly 0 chance of putting themselves into a position to tie or win for the rest of the game. I'd take vibes over that any day
@GreasioJason@gregolsen88 I'm saying you have a better chance at the end of the game to tie it on one play than missing the 2 pt at 3:10 left in the game giving you basically 0 chance of getting to a single play to tie/win. I'd rather try it when the pressure is on the D who just gave up a 2 score lead
@GreasioJason@gregolsen88 Having 1 play at the end of the game to tie is worlds better than hoping with under 5 minutes left in a game you are going to even get the ball twice let alone get back into a position to have a play to win/tie but as you said you do you
@GreasioJason@gregolsen88 Why is it better? Ultimately if you miss the 2 pt conversion you're odds of winning diminish greatly. If you miss it down 9 you take the pressure off the other team who now just needs to bleed clock knowing you need 2 possessions. Getting it to 8 puts the pressure on them
@masnOrioles And this is why they needed to add an actual GM this offseason. Elias says the same shit every year: "We will make every effort" "We will be aggressive" only to end up with the same re-treds and 4A fringe players he signs every year
@rydunleavy Guess third time leaving the GM in place after firing the coach will be the charm. Just once I wish this organization would learn from their mistakes @Giants
@MikeLupica Game was over when he kicked that FG then declined the penalty when the football Gods gifted him the opportunity to change his mind. Loser mentality @Giants
