@AdamParkhomenko@DevinCow This man deserves a medal. It's not always appropriate to approach a celebrity/public figure out in public, but when it is, it REALLY is.
@profdubpea Plus...calls demand immediate attention, just by their very nature, and in that sense they can be jarring and intrusive to those with anxiety or other issues.
@profdubpea I reach out to students via texts, e-mails, and messages, see them on Zoom, but would prefer no calls unless urgent and/or they have a specific need to talk on the phone instead of read a message or use Zoom. I don't even like calling to schedule a Dr. appointment!
@profdubpea Thank you for saying this. I'm pretty sure I have phone trauma as well. Just seeing my phone ring raises my blood pressure -- it's been this way for years, and I think it is a automatic response -- the expectation of terrible news.
Hey @richardmarx, my husband found this yesterday at our neighborhood record shop, and in celebration of National Record Store Day, we couldn't pass it up. Now, we just need something to play it on. (Btw...I owned this back when it first released, too...good times!) ❤❤
@AITA_reddit NTA. The shithead brother -- and anyone who sides with him -- can go kick rocks. He behaved like a barbarian, gave a half-assed, likely forced, "apology," and is now acting (again) like an entitled jerk. OP has every right to exclude him.
@JustDnoes So heartbreaking. I can't fathom treating my own mother this way. It's unconscionable. I also can't fathom believing so fervently in such unsubstantiated nonsense, so I can only imagine that your daughters have to be suffering to be so fearful and so easily mislead.
@AmberELehman @AITA_reddit My roommates did this to me in college -- during winter break. I was furious, then vindicated when the guy turned out to be a creep and a loser. We threw him out after he wrote me a bad check. If my husband had done this to me, I would have lost my shit.
@profdubpea Not just you. I have even right before class a time or two. (Not usually related to students or the job -- mostly "life stuff," but...yeah.)
@mpinmaui@richardmarx You can't possibly be serious. This is just...gross. But yeah, by all means, keep blaming children for the disgusting behavior of grown-ass adults who should know better.
