Staking vs Bonds - What’s the Difference?

If staking $sthUSD shows higher APY, why would anyone buy a fixed-term bond?

Here’s the breakdown:

→ $sthUSD (staking):
Stake $thUSD, receive sthUSD, and your balance grows as the portfolio earns yield. The APY is dynamic, it compounds automatically, and you can exit anytime. Flexible, but not fixed.

→ Fixed-term bonds:
Lock thUSD for a set duration (90 days, 180 days, 1 year, etc.). The return is guaranteed upfront. Even if yields drop later, your payout is locked. Bonds also issue ERC-1155 tokens that can be traded OTC if you need liquidity before maturity (more on this soon).

→ Why bonds when $sthUSD looks higher?
Because bonds give you certainty. You know exactly what you’ll earn and when you’ll get it. That matters for treasuries, institutions, or anyone who values predictable returns over variable ones.

In short:
sthUSD = flexible and variable.
Bonds = fixed and predictable.
