Sowing the seeds of our #foodgrowing project at @MarcusLipton Youth Centre in Brixton.
How can #disadvantaged youth make a landscape their own? We're here to find out!
Just a reminder for some of my professional youth work colleagues, remember you hold a privileged position in some lives of young people... so reliability and trustworthiness are important traits to evidence and promote whilst building that relationship!
Great work from @bybrixton please share widely with young people you know. Keeping our young people supported & engaged at this time is vital #community
We trying our best to persevere through this time! We are currently preparing delivery packs for the most vulnerable but stocks are getting low! Share your resources, check up on neighbours, show love at this time! We can only overcome this together! https://t.co/FpDGqp9FxF
Our amazing @BrixSoupKitchen is still working hard within govt guidance to feed hungry vulnerable people at this difficult time. Please support them if you can 💜💜https://t.co/mp6H9j1fFP
We’ll also be sharing resources that are educational & entertaining and help mental & physical well-being.
Our youth work hasn’t stopped, simply evolved!
We look forward to resuming our regular services once safe.
Thank you to our funders @lambeth_council & @MayorofLondon

Due to health concerns around #coronavirus we have adapted our service so people can pick up food and essentials, while also limiting physical contact that could adversely affect our vulnerable service users! #family#keepsafe#community#health#corona
This young one made a badge saying keep away from gangs with the colours of the rainbow. I was stunned as it was his choice. The assignment was to make a badge of a hero! He is Primary school level
Now he is a carrier of Light and Peace @dwaynamics
While Khadijah continues training for #MagnoliaCup, back in Brixton, here’s another aspiring young horsewoman learning to jump a course. Will she be next?!
5 years ago this Wednesday, Black Cultural Archives opened its doors at 1 Windrush Square for the first time. This week, we’ll be celebrating this milestone and share more about those who work at and experience the Archives #BCAAtWindrushSq#BCAAnniversary#blackbritishculture
Great end to the week seeing the @Spiralskills social entrepreneur programme finale with Evelyn Grace year 9’s. Also great week with Saara who was with me for work experience #lambethfuture#lambethmade
If you feel insignificant, you better think again. Better wake up because you're part of something way bigger. Bigger than you, bigger than we. Bigger than the picture they framed us to see ✊

. @brixtonpound cafe is brilliant - local community volunteers making delicious healthy meals from surplus food on a pay what you can basis, bringing people together. Sad to see them leaving Atlantic Rd but looking forward to seeing them back in Brixton after a well earned break
