I feel like there’s a conversation to be had here about how we fashion our tastes based on the opinions of others, rather than coming to a conclusion ourselves
I love GRAND THEFT AUTO just as much as the next person. Ive been playing it since 2000.
That said, the amount of corporate boot licking I've seen today is insane. Justifying digital only purchases and portions of the game being locked behind a paywall. Shameful shit
The whole point of a physical copy is that it's yours. Lend it, shelf it, sell it, hand it to your kid in twenty years.
GTA 6 just threw all of that out. No disc. A code in a box. The day Rockstar's servers go dark, so does your "copy."
The last major publisher that still respected physical media just sold every one of its customers out for a few cents of margin.
This isn't a physical edition. It's an empty box with homework inside.
I have a wall of games I own outright. The biggest launch of the decade won't be one of them.
What really cracks me up is when extremely high earners break down their spending and they’ll start by saying something that we all agree is an unavoidable burden like “ya know, taxes take almost 50% of that 10 million right off the top” and you think for a second you’re going to be able to empathize in some capacity then they start giving examples of the most absurd, unrelatable, borderline hedonistic ways they spend money. “After that I’m left with just 6 million and my dog’s masseuse runs 12k a month and the guy who cleans my shark tank is another 15 and then of course the live-in sommelier isn’t cheap as you can imagine, not the good ones anyways. People don’t realize that 10 million just doesn’t get you what it used to”
Carly Rae Jepsen has announced a 24-track double album titled "Day and Night," releasing September 18.
The album will be divided into "Day" and "Night" sections. "Day" is "organic and raw, with live instrumentation and hints of '70s-inspired psychedelic pop," while "Night" is "exploratory and intense, shifting into a sleek, synth-driven world of dance pop."

“If I could snap my fingers and make generative AI disappear forever, I probably would. Creatively, I get no enjoyment from using those tools. It defeats the purpose entirely for me.” -Kane Parsons, the guy who just made A24 277.5 million dollars last month.
“A24, for instance, is backed by Josh Kushner’s Thrive Capital, which holds a seat on the board and ranks among OpenAI’s largest and most high-profile backers.”
the more you know…….
