The US-Israeli attack began at 08:10 Tel Aviv time, as planned, according to two senior defense officials familiar with the planning of the attack in Iran.

According to the two officials, the combined Israeli-American attack also includes attempts to target key figures in the country. This is an extensive attack that is expected to last at least several days.

The primary threat Israel currently sees from Iran is long-range surface-to-surface missiles. According to the plan presented to President Trump, Israel will focus most of its efforts on the missiles' storage sites, production facilities, and launchers, while American forces are expected to focus on the Iranian nuclear project and additional targets related to the Revolutionary Guards and the regime.

The reason Hamas was able to regain some support of Gaza residents after the ceasefire was the absence of alternatives and any party to enforce order. The PA was blocked by Netanyahu's government, no ISF was deployed, and no other party was able or willing to fill the void. This allowed Hamas to crack down on families (e.g., Al Majayda, Doghmush), publicly execute innocents, and control aid, presenting itself through coercion and intimidation as the only effective authority. Many Gazans felt abandoned and powerless, facing a reality where essential services, security, and governance were either absent or controlled only by Hamas.

This is exactly what Hamas, Qatar, Turkey, and Co. have had in mind all along; there was never going to be disarmament of the terror group. Wäre ich ein junger New Yorker, würde ich mir auch eine radikal andere Politik wünschen. Sich keine eigene Wohnung leisten zu können, heißt ja nicht nur, ohnehin reiche Vermieter finanzieren zu müssen, sondern auch, sich kein eigenes Leben, keine Sicherheit, keine Familie aufbauen zu können.

Aber ist das ein Grund, Zohran #Mamdani zu feiern?

Ich glaube, was ein wenig untergeht, ist, dass MAGA und DSA (die Democratic Socialists of America) ein gemeinsames Feindbild haben: das Demokraten-Establishment der vergangenen dreißig Jahre.

Beide Bewegungen attackieren die Globalisten-Mentalität, die das große amerikanische Versprechen verraten habe.

Eine gesunde Linke, finde ich, muss unbedingt Kritik an der Globalisierungsideologie der vergangenen Jahrzehnte üben. Es braucht dringend eine Linke, die die Arbeiterschicht wiederentdeckt bzw. Globalisierungsverlierer anspricht statt auf sie herabzuschauen ("deplorables"!).

Etwas anderes aber ist ein Mann, der sagt, Internationalismus bestehe darin, zu erkennen: „Wenn dich der Stiefel der New Yorker Polizei niederdrückt, ist er von der IDF geschnürt.“

Oder der als Rapper sang: „My love to the Holy Land Five“ (die Holy Land Five sind eine Gruppe, die wegen Hamas-Finanzierung verurteilt wurde).

Der sich nicht von dem Slogan „Globalize the intifada“ distanziert.

Oder der an seinem College ein Chapter einer Pro-Palästina-Gruppierung gründete, deren nationales HQ den 7. Oktober als „historischen Sieg für den palästinensischen Widerstand" feierte.

Diese Art von Radikalität ist ein Geschenk für Trump – und ein Desaster für eine Linke, wie nicht nur Amerika sie bräuchte.

US Central Command is confirming what everyone in Gaza has known, but was denied for two years by international journalists, activists, politicians, NGOs, and supposed "experts": Hamas has been systematically stealing, looting & siphoning aid meant for suffering Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. Footage from an American surveillance drone monitoring the ceasefire between Hamas and Israel captured footage of a specific example that shows Hamas in the act.

What makes the conclusion of the video 100% is the presence of a pick-up truck full of Hamas operatives, passing by the truck as the knocked-out driver is being thrown in the median divider of the road. These are the pick-up trucks that Hamas's "police" and enforcers use to roam around Gaza, execute, murder, kidnap, torture, and disappear people.

Stuffing Gaza full of aid and goods, only for Hamas's terrorists to steal, sell, or tax such items as a means of making money and staying a relevant fighting force, is never going to work as a long-term strategy. The issue isn't about a shortage of aid; it's about who will access this aid. There is no lasting stability or peace until Hamas is removed from Gaza, a step that will require the use of force against this fascist militia.
