This is so sad. Come on local authorities - let's take a fresh approach to road verge management!
There are alternative approaches that maintain floral diversity, save councils money and provide pollinator habitat: https://t.co/Mnsh9qIyfa
RT if you agree!
Not only have @SoTCityCouncil not removed the chair in the #rivertrent despite several people asking there is now a bike. So much for the @StaffsWildlife Sunrise Project. Rubbish that's what it is!
Now that I don’t see dandelions as weeds I find them a joy instead of a nuisance. Which can only be a good thing! There was a bee on this lot clearly enjoying them too. #morethanweeds#pavementplants
We love growing flowers in our gardens, yet we call plants that grow spontaneously "weeds" and kill them...This "unkempt" tree pit in @CityLuxembourg was a biodiversity joy among the concrete: flies, bees, ladybirds etc. How do we learn to accept this "wildness" in our cities? 🌱
@SOTCCC out killing dandelions this afternoon along London Road with a motorised vehicle on the pavements. Why? Bees and other pollinating insects (which are massively dying out btw) need dandelions. #savethebees#dandelions
Positive cycling experience today across city to LBS to collect brake pads. Chap in a car let me through first at T junction, smiled (in a good way). So much nicer cycling with considerate drivers around. #safecycling#StokeOnTrent
@WeAreCyclingUK Cycled to LBS to pick up disc brake pads & chain lube whilst MOH cycled to the veg stall. Not much nature sadly but a fantastic break from the computer screen.
Superb bumper episode of @BBCScotland The Adventure Show last evening packed full of women in sports, please note @guardian - would brighten up your unbalanced reporting #womeninsport
