Fun Fact!! ๐๐๐
I've worked at the University of London Observatory, Yerkes Observatory of the University of Chicago, Cavendish Laboratory in Cambrisge, England, and the California Institute of Technology
I actually ended up refusing the Annie J. Cannon Prize from the American Astronomicsl Society since it was another way of representing the discrimination towards women.
Every prize should be for everyone. NOT just Women or men.
Being the first woman to be appointed director of the Royal Greenwich Observatory is one of the biggest things I'm proud of in my life. Finding opportunities in the industry as a woman is one if the hardest things I had to face but I'm proud of where I've gotten ๐๐
