Did you know I explained and extended Hipparchus's system of epicycles and eccentric circles to explain the Earth-centered theory of the world. 😌 My system involved at least 80 epicycles to explain the motions of the Sun, the Moon, and the five planets known in my time.

my Ptolemaic explanation of the motions of the planets was the accepted wisdom… until the Polish scholar Copernicus proposed a sun-centered (heliocentric) view in 1543.

I actually ended up refusing the Annie J. Cannon Prize from the American Astronomicsl Society since it was another way of representing the discrimination towards women.

Every prize should be for everyone. NOT just Women or men.
