@AbbySmi86614075 It is important to know who and what shapes the curriculum that we will reach our future students. I agree that we need to take this into consideration as future educators to best teach our students. #02Fall21#EDUC200
I love the use of writing on the desks! This adds a level of fun for the students while continuing their learning and completing their assignments. This is a great way to keep the students engaged! #02Fall21#EDUC200
@rgkeast_25 I really liked how we critiqued this version of a “Smart Walk” as well. My group said we would change the wording of “Low, Middle, and High”. We felt like that gave inaccurate judgement of the students’ knowledge. #02Fall21#EDUC200
In class, we talked about restrictive environments in relation to IEPs. As future teachers, we will have students in our classrooms with IEPs, so it is important to understand how they work to best meet our students’ needs. #02Fall21#EDUC200
@abby_coppola I was sad I had to miss last class, but I am excited to get the notes from my group. We have talked a little about Bloom's Taxonomy while I have been in class, and there are so many ways to apply it to our future classrooms. #02Fall21#EDUC200
@kamrynhaynes21 I’ll miss my old group as well, but I am excited to work with some new people as well!! We had a great conversation about redlining and the Matthew Effect in class. Excited to continue working with the Fire Breathing Penguins! #02Fall21#EDUC200
@EthanLinklater1 I think we definitely made the best out of having class online! With classes being all online last year due to COVID-19, we have gained new tools, resources, and skills to help us as students as well as future educators. #02Fall21#EDUC200
@Bonnie_Wilson7@LocalSmartsEdu We got a lot of good information today on how to best write our early draft of our paper! I am excited to get started to get my ideas on paper! #02Fall21#EDUC200
@jackson_putt03 The chart was super useful to be able to understand the differences and similarities between the Paradigms. The discussion had in class that went along with this chart was useful as well! #02Fall21#EDUC200
@Bonnie_Wilson7@Anthonyvalvano8 These images in class gave a very brief and simple definition of the basis of equality and equity. It is important to strive for justice and try to eliminate the barriers rather than the give different needs. #EDUC200#02Fall21
@haddock_jessie I’m sad I had to miss class on Thursday because this looks like a great learning opportunity! I bet it really helped the memorization and rehearsal of the key concepts of teaching philosophies. #EDUC200#02Fall21
@SatineSvy The way poverty can control a child’s education is extremely difficult and unfortunate. Just because a child doesn’t come from a home that has more money, should not mean that their education is impacted. #02Fall21#EDUC200
@kelsey_jernegan This article also demonstrates the G. Norm impact because by changing to name of the school, they were able to be involved in the change for what's right and make a difference in their community. It is just a small stepping stone to unity. #02Fall21#EDUC200
@gabbyriel2024 I think this article also shows the Google Norm impact. By creating FirstGenLiving, Maria created change and had an impact on first generations by giving them a safe place to create a successful and growing financial life. #02Fall21#EDUC200
https://t.co/zDzikyCRTk The Keystone Volleyball team demonstrates the G. Norm dependability by leaning on each other when some of their teammates were in quarantine. They had to overcome playing positions that they never had to play and work together to win. #02Fall21#EDUC200
The research shows that 3rd grade is where “we move from learning to read to reading to learn”. It is considered “pivotal to our learning experience”. Although many of us do not remember when/how we learned how to read, being able to read has brought us all to where we are today.
