🚨JUST IN: Government ministers will be allowed to hide their criminal convictions from the public following a tribunal ruling in their favour.

The tribunal ruled that Parliament has "enhanced" legal protection.

The initial investigation came after Louise Haigh resigned as Transport Secretary in November 2024 after her undisclosed fraud conviction came to light.

Haigh admitted misleading police after wrongly telling officers her work phone had been stolen as she was "mugged" on a night out in 2013.

She was made First Secretary of State, Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, and Minister for the Cabinet Office by Andy Burnham.

Wow @hovisbakery you really do not like answering your calls from concerned customers. I want to know why you are adding syn. Folic acid to your Farmhouse Batch Wholemeal loaf? Wholemeal is exempt, yet you are adding it. Making it difficult for people like me, with CANCER to avoid SFA! Not impressed, am at 47 mins and still waiting...
