Check out our new study on EBV and MS! We found no single EBV peptide uniquely targeted by the immune system of people with MS, and there was no distinct antibody profile to EBV. Here's a thread explaining our findings. 🧵 #MultipleSclerosis#EBV@KjetilBjornevik@michaelmina_lab
@TheGoodBobby After adjusting for total anti-EBNA1 antibody titers (post #4), most EBV peptide associations disappeared. While total anti-EBNA-1 antibodies are strongly linked to MS risk, they alone are not specific enough to reliably predict who will develop the disease.
Hot Topic 8: Prodromic MS - can we reduce the risk of MS conversion and progression? A paradigm shift on how we approach MS diagnosis? How early and accurately can we do it? Still a controversial hot topic. @helen_tremlett@XtineLebrunF@XMontalban#MSMilan2023#ECTRIMS#ACTRIMS
