@James_Athletics @TrustCooker On the face of it, I see what you mean. But part of making money from elite sport is dueto the paying spectators. Ie these ‘elite’ athletes depend on supporters(indirectly). Having amateur competition(+profits made) must just be lower on the scale of importance inthe gov’s eyes😞
@James_Athletics @TrustCooker Atm more netballers can access the track at Birmingham than runners. I have no access to track/ gym facilities despite making a major final last year. I think at the moment you have to just enjoy what is allowed and understand that organisers can only stick their necks out so far
