Getting paid to think is peak everything. If you’re getting paid well to think, don’t take it for granted. That’s 1% of civilization type stuff. Your ancestors are proud and jealous that you’ve gotten this far.
Every once in a while you meet someone who seems more Alive than everyone else. It's like everyone else is pretending to exist, but they're actually consciousness manifest - they're dynamic, both funny and tragic, passionate, aware. They've got eyes that actually look at things instead of merely passing them over. It's like coming into contact with the kind of person reality was actually made for.
You gotta love people with ‘get sh*t done’ energy. They handle things, you never have to repeat yourself, they don’t waste time, or create excuses. They’re assertive, they’re reliable, they use initiative, and they always stand on business because they get sh*t done.
@Mechalith @DrMBotha That’s the main point. Why do we need to generalize to all institutions and research instead of naming the ones engaging in the malpractice. Of course it happens and it shouldn’t. Bottomline is it’s not a matter of black and white thinking.
@DrMBotha I feel that the main focus needs to be on sharing and spreading the ‘good research’ because some research lacks validity and that’s inevitable. I agree malpractice needs to be called out but I also acknowledge not all institutions are engaging in malpractice.
@DrMBotha Which institutions? Without pinpointing the exact and holding them accountable. What is the purpose or benefit of the statement besides perhaps freedom of thought and speech. For change to actually happen, we need accountability.
