The travel industry is calling on the Govt to implement the #trafficlight system as intended so travel can resume properly this summer and offer a package of tailored financial support to help businesses through the crisis. #traveldayofaction#speakupfortravel
Govt needs to capitalise on the great progress made by the UK’s vaccination rollout by allowing vaccinated people to travel to low risk countries this summer without the need to test or quarantine. This will get the travel industry moving & boost the UK economy #speakupfortravel
Looking forward to Speak Up For Travel at tomorrow's Travel Day of Action to raise awareness of the ongoing challenges facing the travel industry as well as the risks to businesses and livelihoods. #SpeakUpForTravel#SaveFutureTravel
Who knew that our 1st “travel event” in human form wasn’t going to be a traditional tourism event, or conference and so on but on a green, near Westminster, lobbying for our industry! I haven’t seen travel folk since January 2020! #SaveTravel#traveldayofaction#speakupfortravel
Hundreds of thousands of jobs lost and zero income for 18 months. The travel industry has been the worst affected sector by the pandemic. The necessary tailored financial support from government is long overdue. #speakupfortravel#traveldayofaction
ASA support opening up safely this summer. Let's make the most of our great vaccination programme and make travel happen. Enough is enough. #saveinboundtourism and the 1000's of jobs and livelihoods that depend on it. #traveldayofaction#speakupfortravel
Imagine introducing an MOT test so cars can be driven safely and then deciding it would be safer to just ban driving. That’s effectively what the government has done with the traffic light system for travel.
It’s time to allow people the freedom to travel again.
#SpeakUpForTravel
Today Unite and other voices across the industry including airports, cabin crew, ground staff, engineers and pilots are calling on Government to safely reopen air travel and deliver vital support to the industry, as part of today's #TravelDayOfAction. #SpeakUpForTravel
It’s time for the Government to be open and transparent about how decisions on restrictions are being made.
The public and industry need clarity and honesty to plan ahead and rebuild UK travel.
#TravelDayOfAction#SpeakUpForTravel
This is why today is so important. We are calling on the government to bring forward a package of tailored financial support and allow international travel to return safely in a risk managed way to save travel jobs & businesses #speakupfortravel
We’re in London today joining 100s of colleagues from across the travel industry to ask the UK Government to allow international travel to return safely. Follow us as we #SpeakUpForTravel

The travel & tourism industry has been the hardest hit by the pandemic, with thousands of employees impacted. We believe travel can be safely reopened – just like other European country have done successfully #speakupfortravel
