Giovedì 18 giugno, la febbre dei Mondiali ha contagiato anche il Parlamento norvegese, dove i deputati hanno improvvisato una loro versione del "Viking Row", il gesto di remare reso celebre dai tifosi norvegesi durante i Mondiali.

La seduta parlamentare di giovedì è stata brevemente interrotta quando il presidente ha suggerito ai deputati di replicare il gesto di remare dei tifosi per dimostrare il sostegno della nazione alla campagna in corso, e i parlamentari hanno risposto con entusiasmo, in una dimostrazione di unità trasversale tra i partiti.

Il gesto ha riscosso un grande successo anche negli Stati Uniti, dove i tifosi lo hanno imitato su una scala mobile e tra il pubblico durante la partita d'esordio della Norvegia ai Mondiali, vinta per 4-1 contro l'Iraq. Stortinget via Storyful

e già quando era ancora piccina aveva nutrito un amore intenso per un particolare pupazzetto tra i tanti a sua disposizione...forse lo considerava un suo cucciolo, essendo stata a lei preclusa anche questa possibilità.
