Great to be in Humboldt today meeting with farmers from eastern South Dakota to discuss the issues impacting South Dakota agriculture, including the future of the Farm Bill. I always enjoy hearing directly from the producers who keep our ag economy strong and learning more about the challenges and opportunities they’re seeing on the ground. We took a #SeeForYourself tour of the PNW to give a SD farmers glimpse into how their soybeans are transported globally as well as how the SD Soybean Checkoff is invested in building new global and domestic markets and improving transportation for SD soybeans.

Consumers can feel confident about a stable food supply even as the pandemic continues. For many the massive disruptions in meat processing are still fresh on their minds. However, those issues have been fixed and farmers never missed a beat in producing food for the country.
