@MasculineMind_@_Pammy_DS_ Procrastination can be a great indicator. People rarely procrastinate when it’s something enjoyable for them, or that they are good at. Instead of forcing yourself to do things you don’t want to do, notice what you’re avoiding, and focus on what you do want.
@MattWalshBlog Maybe stop being so selfish and insecure. If it’s a charade, it’s a charade for a reaction b/c you don’t show them enough love. If they’re truly happy, be happy for them.
@maiasz Totally agree. For so many, addictions start as a way to self regulate pain from early emotional traumatic experiences. Far out of our control. 12 steps focused on guilt and shame of the individual, the moral aspect. Healing and self regulation seem much more effective.
@pushtheneedle I hear you. My business is on that path. If the trail happens, my street would be improved, more foot traffic, would probably pivot and find a way to take advantage of it. But plenty of business owners I know would be adversely affected. So I say get it done already. Red route.
@ChrisTheTwinDad It’s impossible to have a meaningful discussion on Twitter. But I never said ADHD doesn’t exist. It wasn’t widely diagnosed until the 90’s when adderall was introduced and they changed the definition (add to adhd). I certainly celebrate all types of ppl, my only goal is options
@noah_anyname ADD was defined in the early 1900’s. But wasn’t widely diagnosed until the 1990’s when they added “hyperactive” to the definition and suddenly every kid had it and prescriptions went up. I’m not saying some people don’t need meds, I’m saying we’ve abandoned any alternatives.
@noah_anyname Oh cool, I’m not familiar with this test thanks for sharing. I think my initial points stand. And honestly, this test looks boring af, someone with a lot of energy probably can’t stare at it forever. So that gets into what is adhd even? Also, lots of debate on how to treat it.
@noah_anyname I don’t think anyone ever died from ADHD. And I don’t think it’s an illness anyways. Modern medicine has some achievements but there are areas for improvement. Oxy killed over 400k people. 250k people a year die from malpractice. It’s ok to try to improve things bud, you’ll be ok
