@issasphere Its also just so frustrating to see "anti masks" protests and people refusing to believe the virus is real. People are dying! Just wear a mask! It surprises me that so much is still open here in Quebec, let alone in America.
@eavh99 Totally agree.. not just online schooling but the way this affects our jobs and social life, can really have an effect on our mental health. I always make sure to keep in touch with friends online as often as I can, so all of us can feel less alone!
I love this quote. It doesn't matter what your political beliefs are, it doesn't even matter if you don't agree with wearing masks and distancing, DO IT ANYWAY! #SOCI341
“We need people to not be Democrats or Republicans but to be human beings and do the right thing," Kentucky governor Andy Beshear said. “People out there are dying, People are hurting. This is the time to invest in our people and in their safety.” https://t.co/k11WZX2q7S
WINTER WONDERLAND: A hotel in Ireland made sure visitors enjoyed their Christmas experience with a drive-thru, while inviting families to walk around the Christmas village, keeping a safe distance from other groups and Santa himself. https://t.co/BrunuksUe8
I worry that because vaccines will come into play, people will slack off and stop wearing masks, sanitizing their hands etc.. we all still need to be cautious! #soci341
This is so cute! It made me think about how nice it would be if sign language was taught in schools. That would be helpful for a lot of people! #soci341
Class learns to sign 'O Canada' amid COVID-19 restrictions
With COVID-19 guidelines preventing them from singing the national anthem, a grade 1 class in Sask., has learned to sign 'O Canada.'
Interesting to see how social media plays a role in justice. Seeing this documentary gain popularity across social media platforms and how it lead to an actual bill being passed #soci341
Americans should have already been wearing masks!! But its nice to see a leader in America promoting mask wearing. Its something so easy and helpful that everyone should be doing #soci341
This is upsetting :( Back in April I still had hope we would be able to vacation by summer. I had no clue this would be lasting into winter, and who knows now much longer.. its crazy #soci341
I'm happy that he felt comfortable enough to share this with the world and come out as transgender! I think its really great for the LGBTQ+ community to have more representation. #soci341
Kamala Harris sent a strong message to girls watching her first national address as Vice President-elect: "While I may be the first woman in this office, I will not be the last."
@_H_P_21 I agree. Its risky because I feel like as soon as things get better people get too excited and immediately get together. We have to all be cautious and continue taking extra steps to stay safe and keep others safe too! #soci341
Obama: "I get that this president wants full credit for the economy he inherited, and zero blame for the pandemic he ignored. But you know what — the job doesn't work that way. Tweeting at the television doesn't fix things. Making stuff up doesn't make people's lives better."
It can be frustrating to see that while some of us lost our jobs and are struggling, there are wealthy people profiting off of it (while exploiting their workers who are underpaid..) #soci341
I should clarify that they did not specify what word she used but it seems thats what they're implying
"Quebec Premier Francois Legault says the University of Ottawa should have defended a professor who used a derogatory word for Black people in class."
Professor used an offensive term (the n word) and then apologized for it. Our premier says the university should have defended the professor and that its important to be able to talk about things openly. But can't we talk about things openly WITHOUT using racist words? #soci341
