“This is not a humanitarian failure — it is a political choice, and a deliberate assault on a people’s ability to survive, carried out with impunity.”
An expanding military offensive and aid blockade by Israeli forces has turned Gaza into a “mass grave”:

Palestinian injunctions: be resilient, condemn Hamas, don’t talk about the occupation, deny your people’s history, over the dead bodies of your children and on the rubbles of your house. A live-streamed genocide, but at least we can mute the videos. https://t.co/IrM7Yv3amo.
“While statements are made in this chamber, civilians remain unseen, unprotected, bombed, besieged, raped, displaced, deprived of food, of medical care, of dignity.”
At the UN Security Council, @Chris_lockyear has told Council members the war in Sudan cannot continue to be waged with shameless disregard for civilian lives.

You made this day possible. Those who gave up their lives and those who gave up their freedom. You have changed the meaning of dedication above and beyond the call of duty. May your glorious memory live on as the brightest of the night stars.
“Israel's bombing needs to stop and a massive, urgent scale-up of humanitarian aid is needed… We urge all parties to ensure humanitarian aid reaches people across the Strip now.” @Chris_lockyear and MSF on the possible ceasefire announcement in Gaza.

On 8 January, 3 children from Gaza, Palestine, with severe injuries caused by Israeli airstrikes arrived at our hospital in Jordan after months of delays and rejections by the Israeli authorities. Meanwhile, 2 other patients have still been denied medical evacuation from Gaza with no clear explanation.
“It has taken 3 months to evacuate 3 children in need of medical care. The recovery of injured children in Gaza depends on them getting timely care – these delays can lead to life-long disabilities and even death from infections," says Moeen Mahmood, our country director in Jordan.
Last November, Israeli authorities also blocked the medical evacuation of 8 children and their caretakers from Gaza who needed medical care, including a two-year-old with leg amputations, to our hospital in Jordan.
The healthcare system in Gaza has been systematically dismantled by Israeli forces. Patients in need of specialised medical care have nowhere to go. According to WHO, there are at least 12,000 people still in need of medical evacuation from Gaza.
Since 7 October 2023, we have only been able to evacuate 13 children from Gaza to our hospital in Jordan. We call on the Israeli authorities to ensure medical evacuations for all Palestinians in need of care now, including their caregivers, while guaranteeing their safe, voluntary and dignified return to Gaza.
Thank you President Macron and the people of France for the deep friendship you’ve extended to me over the years. It’s been an honor to have helped strengthen the historic alliance between the United States and France and to receive the Légion d’honneur.
Children in boxes, in the morgue of a hospital that is running out of fuel, where an ice cream truck is used to carry bodies out. And that’s for those who make out of the rubbles.
Talk about dehumanization. Where does humanity go from there?
The remains of four family members, including a newborn daughter and a teenage boy, were retrieved following an early morning Israeli strike on a house in Deir El-Balah, central Gaza Strip. Fragments of their bodies were gathered into boxes and bags and brought to Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir El-Balah.
Stories like the Israeli commander breaking the bones of a 4 year old Palestinian child with bare hands, are a confirmation that not only the Israeli army is ROTTEN to the core, but so are all governments that allow these sickening crimes to be normalized.
Watching the interview with Dr Hussam Abu-Safoueh describe the siege and bombing of Kamal Adwan hospital on Jabalyah camp weist remember Promo Levi's prophetic words:
"Then for the first time we became aware that our language lacks words to express this offence, the demolition of a man. In a moment, with almost prophetic intuition, the reality was revealed to us: we had reached the bottom. It is not possible to sink lower than this; no human condition is more miserable than this, nor could it conceivably be so. "
If This Is a Man
@UNReliefChief Humanitarian workers are not supposed to “march towards bombs” but to be protected under IHL. We should not be telling people “that eventually bombs do stop”. End impunity.
Stop portraying humanitarians as heroes & people as resilient victims.
And collecting rubbles, really?
