An interviewer asked 21-year-old Alex Eala why it's important for her to enjoy tennis, a post by The Tennis Letter shared on X.

The Filipina tennis ace was asked: "I want to ask you about something you said in an interview with Sky Sports. You were asked about how you see yourself 10 years from now. Some players would say ‘I hope to have 2, 3, 4 Grand Slams.’ But you said something different. You said ‘I just want to make sure I gave it my best, worked hard, & had fun.’"

Alex responded by saying it would be waste not to enjoy the moment, as she's finally living her childhood dream while being supported by thousands of people.

Residents of Old Cabalan, Olongapo City, struggled to wade through floodwaters that rose above head level at around 11:22 AM on Saturday, August 29, 2026.

Uploader Mariz Galindez posted the flooding situation in their community following persistent, heavy rains brought by the southwest monsoon.

As of this posting, Galindez reported that flooding has subsided in the area.

Max Eisenbud makes big 2027 prediction about Alex Eala's earnings

Max Eisenbud, head of client representation at WME Sports and IMG Tennis, believes Eala could soon become one of the highest-paid female athletes in the world.

“I feel very confident that by 2027, she will be the second-highest-paid female athlete in the world, behind Coco [Gauff],” he said.
