@OTDCanMilHis Ireland would be well worth your time if you can spare a day or two outside of Dublin and visit the countryside. Although a tad difficult without a car. Scotland is also amazing for a quick trip, Glasgow and Edinburgh are fantastic and accessible by train to maximize your time

[Canadian Army @CanadianArmy]

Today we honour and remember WO Patrice Vincent and Cpl Nathan Cirillo.
10 years ago, we lost these two brave men in acts of terrorism on Canadian soil. The military community continues to grieve these losses. Our condolences go to their families and friends. #WeWillRememberThem

Russians in Moscow are lining up to lay flowers in memory of Alexei Navalny at a memorial to Gulag victims outside the FSB headquarters.

Given the extent to which the Kremlin has suppressed all dissent since invading Ukraine, this is a not insignificant crowd.

By coming together #CBSA, #RCMP, and CBP can share best practices to protect our borders, customs, trade & travel.

[CBP International Affairs @CBPIntlAffairs]

1. Doctor Who was created by a Canadian. The first episode aired 60 years ago today, so here's my long & wild annual thread about the guy from Toronto who created one of the most quintessentially British shows.

And how he ended up as a possible target for kidnapping by the FLQ.

@OTDCanMilHis @DRdigHistory Come and talk about Harry's bracelet story/battlefield archeology :)

[Canadian War Museum @CanWarMuseum]

Today, we welcomed the Association Westlake Brothers Souvenir (AWBS) for a ceremony in front of Memorial Hall. From July 24-27, 25 young people from France will visit Canadian cities to read thousands of names of Canadian soldiers to honour their sacrifice. #LestWeForget #WWII

@OTDCanMilHis Bodyguard of Lies by Anthony Cave Brown. Did a project on it in High School and it sparked a fascination with espionnage and military intelligence that has only grown ever since 😊
