@VOCMNEWS I’ve followed Stan from the beginning, he must have done more for tourism in Newfoundland than any single person, I shall miss his posts and was very saddened to get Shelley’s tweet, but expected it.
He was my main reason to be on X (Twitter)
RIP Stan , thanks @VOCMNEWS
@stan_sdcollins Ah Shelley, so sorry to hear this, thank you for letting everyone know, I feel like we know you through your lovely dad, he bought a glimpse of happy into everyone’s day with his photos, I hope you made it back in time.
Condolences from Derbyshire, UK
@stan_sdcollins Well Stan, I followed you for a long time, your photos have done an amazing job for the tourism industry I’m sure, but what I’ve loved is getting to know you and your Marlene’s daily lives and the most beautiful places around your home, plus the stove, the log store and the snow
@stan_sdcollins Hi Stan, get well soon, stay positive maybe the flu jab just set you back a bit, few days rest.we are stacking up the winter wood store and I think of the days you used to post pictures of the stores in your garage.
We are one of the few who don’t have modern central heating.
@stan_sdcollins Here Yesterday it was our first frost of the season and got up to 8 degrees but the bitter strong wind from the arctic certainly got through to the bones.
@stan_sdcollins When I was younger and working, my dad used to phone me at work, all he said was “call in on your way home there’s a pie for you” he was excellent at pastry making, it was he way of loving and caring about us.
Marlene’s pie looks good
@stan_sdcollins Stan it’s been something quite enjoyable following you, seeing the amazing photos, sharing your day to day events in your life and location you take care of of each other that’s more important than anything
