Living the life of a librarian in Florida and all that implies. Lover of the Constitution. John Lewis is my hero. The latest in a long line of fighting women.
.@will_robinsonjr @tommygregoryFL @JimBoydFL This is exactly why we have to make people or groups PAY FOR CHALLENGES. Set a limit-5, 10, even 50 in a year. This is egregious abuse of the law that’s wasting tax $$ on nonsense! https://t.co/rQxg1P8Nls
I’m not sure it will matter to my fewer than 500 followers, but I’ve decided to delete my Twitter account within the week. To those who have helped my professional ideas and understanding in these years, especially @FloridaMediaEd and @FLFreedomRead thank you! To the priests
@Warfgdt@JamesMartinSJ Too many trolls and too much fake news boosted since X took over. The vitriol and lies aren’t worth my time. Anything that clearly violates their old rules won’t be taken down or stopped.
BREAKING: In a humiliating new interview, Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis waves the white flag of surrender in his battle against Disney, declares that he has “moved on” and demands that Disney “drop its lawsuit” against him.
But it gets MORE humiliating for DeSantis.
In the pathetic interview today, DeSantis said, “I would say to Disney, go back to what you did well. I think it’s going to be the right business decision. But where we are today, you know, I basically moved on. Disney is suing the state of Florida…. so what I would say is that they should drop the lawsuit.”
Wow. After a year of acting like a wannabe fascist strong man against Disney because Disney had the audacity to stand up for the LGBTQ+ community that DeSantis relentlessly attacked, DeSantis is now shamelessly trying to cut his losses and make voters forget that he spent the last year battling a cartoon mouse. His numbers are dropping by the day — and his 2024 presidential campaign is in shambles — and now he’s begging on his knees for Disney to drop their massive lawsuit against him and his administration.
Unfortunately for DeSantis, Disney is going to win its massive lawsuit against him — and his campaign will be hit with yet another embarrassing setback. While Ron likes to act tough, he’s nothing but a schoolyard bully who whimpers like a baby and begs for forgiveness when he gets punched in the mouth.
Please retweet and ❤️ if you think that Ron DeSantis is pathetic — and consider joining the growing exodus to Tribel, a “woke” new Twitter competitor that is exploding in popularity because it banned Trump for life and because Elon Musk banned Tribel’s Twitter account — but he forgot to ban this link to download the new Tribel app: https://t.co/HnJzSKj4Hp
As #Florida education officials try to de-emphasize & alter Black history in the schools, Tampa Bay History Center opens a permanent 100-artifact installation delving into 500 years of Black history in Tampa Bay. https://t.co/z5kEOvls8F via @yacob_reyes
If you want to ensure you’ve made your library “acceptable” to the most extreme, uninformed viewpoint, use a site created by people of a singular, draconian belief to curate your library.
It’s unpatriotic and breaks with the intent of the First Amendment.

@ChangeTheSyst14 #MomsForLibertyisaHateGroup and librarians do NOT use “crowdsourcing”. In the words of a fellow librarian during @EducationFL library training, “What the hell is crowdsourcing?” 🤣🤣
@FloridaGOP Two truths: 1) Floridians sign up as NPA because they’d rather not say “Republican”. 2) Democrats register as republicans because of your fun & games with local elections that keep Democrats & NPAs from voting in local elections. #strawman
@KPlorable@finbarvano@FloridaGOP@RonDeSantis@GOP https://t.co/FDicIWcs0O Source: The text of the bill from the FL Senate. “Signed by the governor”. It’s a law passed just for him. The previous law was known as “resign to run,” Florida statute 121.121, signed in 2018. https://t.co/7Z3U5vfrc1 You’re welcome!
