Just a matter of time: reviewing temporality in Australian historiography
Time is a foundational concept in historical studies, and time itself must be historicised.
Currently watching online #RETURN: Reconnecting objects and collections with people and places with @ourANU. Loving that they're taking the online viewers offsite for museum visits!
Last night’s panel; Hidden Histories at the Eureka Centre Ballarat. So thought provoking - well done Kait, Jade, @MarikoCurates and @_museumguy 👏🏼 Seeds planted. @KazMonument
‘Individually, we cannot always fix the structural inequalities that make academia an oppressive place to work […] But we can choose to stop perpetuating the glorification of overwork in small ways in our daily roles.’ https://t.co/IeWG1NSJaY

Last night I got to see my first object labels in a museum exhibition! A big thank you to First Nations Curator Courtney Marsh for the opportunity and @MarikoCurates for all her support. The Australian Musem’s new Minerals gallery is a must see!
Gallery lighting is tough. 😕 I'm proud that we've moved into a new era of transparency. In addition to this label, we've updated our provenace pages online to discuss issues of antiquities provenance more openly. https://t.co/1qUccBJWC1
Idea: exhibit designers and curators spend a mandatory 1 day a month hanging out in an exhibit space they created - listening to visitors, watching them use things the "wrong" way, breezing past all the text, not understanding the lofty visual metaphor etc.
💫 Thanks, @unilibrary. You know this one's not so simple!
