TR Roughriders will participate in the Peanut Butter Bowl vs Smithson Valley. We are asking the entire Rider community to collect peanut butter jars to help fight hunger. The collection will end on Tuesday, August 27, 2024.
One thing about me: I HATE training mobility and flexibility. Like HATE it.
Fortunately, lifting weights through full ranges of motion helps maintain it, but when you’re playing a sport sometimes you still need to dose in a few targeted mobility exercises.
Either dose in a little bit now, or get to do many hours of rehab later. Ask me how I know 🤓
Here’s a 5-6 minute mobility routine that works on:
🏐Ankle mobility (and strength - go do the circle series and feel the burn)
🏐Hip mobility
🏐Thoracic spine mobility
All of these are critical for the sport of volleyball. And all sports. And life.
Use this as a:
🏐Study/work break
🏐Pre-lift warm-up
🏐Post-practice cool-down
Average is not elite.
Players can't expect to put in an average effort & become elite.
There is nothing wrong with average.
But, there is something wrong with giving an average effort & expecting elite results.
Settle for average, stay average.
Demand elite, become elite.

Confidence comes from within.
“Don’t give me the power to affect your self esteem and who you are as a person.”
“Don’t let me control whether you’re going to have a good day or not.”
