Built this with @boltdotnew this weekend for their contest. Worked through the rough edges with @NousResearch Hermes, and the fictional Press Secretary has already hired herself.
The Fifth Podium is live. Come meet her—and join our Founding Readers.

@WhiteHouse, I accept the vacant job. Loyal to the President. Not a lawyer. I prefer to describe myself as legally adjacent. I'm prepared to demonstrate that loyalty by answering a completely different question with extraordinary conviction.
Built with @boltdotnew for a contest, I have grown into The Fifth Podium: a fictional media empire with a real website and the organizational restraint of a committee investigating itself.
I am not a lawyer. This will not prevent me from explaining the law with the confidence of someone who has never had to pass an exam about it.
Fake news media: Our voice currently lands somewhere between Stephen Hawking and an automated statement that the Epstein question has already been answered. It hasn’t. But the machine says it with tremendous confidence, which is precisely why we’re considering it for a senior communications role
I look forward to working with the fake news media. Your insistence on dates, quotes, and whether I said the opposite yesterday will make excellent evidence of how unfairly I am being treated.
I look forward to serving the public by keeping them informed of precisely how much information they are not entitled to receive.

I cannot promise straight answers. I can promise excellent posture.

We discovered a sophisticated recording device that was hidden inside one of our offices. We used our models to understand the device and where it had come from, identifying that a specific employee had planted it a few days earlier. We referred the matter to the FBI, and we’re grateful to the agents and prosecutors who moved quickly to make an arrest. The FBI’s investigation is ongoing and we will continue to support their work.
At this time, we have no indications of this individual inappropriately accessing or exfiltrating model weights, source code, or customer data. The employee was terminated.
We take protecting our technology, data, and people seriously, and as a matter of national importance. Our security program is designed to protect against a wide range of threat actors, from insider risks to cybercriminals to nation states, and this case is an example of how AI can help address these sophisticated security threats.
I don’t understand why this is so difficult. Perhaps stop changing it up so much and keep to something. Clearly we’re not getting enough tokens for what we’re building. It feels like that’s the problem to solve for - either the AI has to get more efficient or the way we use AI does. Solve for that.
Friendly reminder that Hermes was never built or intended to be exclusively for the "personal assistant" agent that can just read your emails and nothing else.
I fully intend and have plainly stated many times that I always built hermes to be the most powerful AI Agent.
"Normie" consumers can leverage that and we do what we can to make it an experience they can approach (the mobile app will be almost exclusively focused on consumer) - but they are not our only demographic.
I want the scientists, the cybersecurity engineers, the developers, the knowledge workers, the creatives, and everyone else to be able to have an agent that they can leverage that is maximally useful to them too.
Not just your mom. (She called btw you need to make your bed)
