@bcherny I wish I was able to update Claude code here in Ohio to be able to test it out but it's telling me that v 2.1.152 is the most recent version so I can't use opus 4.8 in claude code yet maybe tomorrow I'm hoping, I'll be able to update to 2.1.154 and be able to use it.

@claudeai This is exactly how I build all 478 python systems Claude code and I've built is a "Why Not" "What If" question and I've been working with Claude code for 14 months this way and we've built 22 local models also on top of everything else. My platform alone is 389k lines of code.

@Kappaemme1926 Yeah, the $20 a month subscription. Will always be limited, but if you're trying to get any meaningful work done, you have to pay more for it. Codex is not going to fill the void. I pay $100 for Max x5 and I never hit usage limits at all and I'm a power user.
