Exactly my thoughts after watching this video update from @CNPalerts Executuve VP, as am going on 26 hours with no power at home and home is freezing... yet Downtown and Galleria are all lit up.

@CNPalerts @KHOU And look Kenny, we get that centerpoint doesn’t generate the electricity. Fine. But you DO distribute it, which means YOU are the ones who can coordinate the rolling blackouts. Don’t try to weasel out of this. No power in our area for 20+ hours. Ridiculous & inexcusable

@waweys @CNPalerts @KHOU I would like for someone to explain this too. Why are so many of us at home without power, cold, with children all bundled up sleeping in one bed to stay warm, and the Galleria and downtown have full power? People are freezing in their homes!

@CNPalerts How about you really do rolling outages @CNPalerts? How can you leave a selected number without power for a full day, with freezing temps outside, while others continue having uninterrupted services? 7 hrs and counting. Roll em! It’s freezing inside!

@callmeemoses @CNPalerts Yeah... 14 hrs and counting without power. With 4 children and our dog at home. Husband and I warming up everyone in car with car’s heater in the sunny street for a bit. House is cold cold.

@CNPalerts 12+ hrs without power at 77584. No way to report as all your means of communication have been down. Our family of 6 is cold at home. NOT a rolling blackout. Someone else’s turn to have their power out and our turn to have ours restored and be able to warm up.
