@exitthelemming I'm so very sorry for your loss.
We lost my dad last month, it's always too soon.
I hope your own memories of him , and knowing how much pleasure his work gave to so many, are of comfort to you in the coming weeks and months.
@ChaseMadar @joestieb Surely it's still worth voting? It sends a message about what policies and behaviours are acceptable - it might not change the outcome this election but may help affect who and what policies you are offered next time.
In Iran, a student harassed by her university’s morality police over her “improper” hijab didn’t back down. She turned her body into a protest, stripping to her underwear and marching through campus—defying a regime that constantly controls women’s bodies. Her act is a powerful reminder of Iranian women’s fight for freedom. Yes we use our bodies like weapons to fight back a regime that kills women for showing their hair.
This happened at Tehran’s Science and Research University She has since been arrested by the authorities.
Be her voice.

@AmazonUK@AmazonHelp this is the delivery your email says was posted through my letter box .
Spoiler - this is not my letter box. This is where a package lands if its thrown over the gate.
@JaneyGodley I'm so very sorry for your loss. She gave so much joy to so many people who never met her, I hope knowing how much she will be missed brings you some comfort.
@moniza_hossain In fairness, Austen is poking fun at Marrianne's views. Mr Knightley, in Emma, is 36 or 37 with no suggestion he is too old to be the romantic interest, and while I don't recall if Captain Wentworth's age is given, he must be a similar age.
@real_shirelass It really doesn't. Most of us recognise that he's completely unfit to run a Parish Council, let alone a country.
We don't like fascists over here.
