Before his death, Saint Nectarius had been suffering from a serious form of cancer for a long time and hid his disease. When it became impossible to conceal his suffering, he was sent to an Athens hospital. Treatment was required, but there was no money.
Looking at the little, simply dressed old man suffering from pain, the on-duty nurse asked: "Is he a monk?"
He is a bishop, replied the sister accompanying him.
For the first time, I see a bishop without a panagia, a golden cross, and most importantly, without money, the servant remarked.
The saint was placed in a third-class ward for the dying. He spent another two months in torment. On the feast day of Archangel Michael and all the Heavenly Hosts, God called him to Himself.
Miracles started happening right there in the hospital. A paralyzed man lay in the room with the saint. When Saint Nectarius died, before washing his body, the staff took off his shirt and moved the paralyzed person closer to the saint. They placed the hands of the sick man on the saint, and the paralyzed man immediately stood up, healed.
Immediately after his passing, the body of the saint began to exude a myrrh-like fragrance. When his coffin was brought to Aegina, the whole island came out to see off its saint. The people carrying his coffin noticed that their clothes and hands smelled sweet.
From the life of St. Nectarios of Aegina.
Saint Nectarios of Aegina is prayed to for healing from various serious illnesses, especially cancer, and for help with financial difficulties.
@Your15Yourboat@MAGAVoice Unfortunately, this war is a mess of Trumps own making he has been a disaster this second term went for maybe the best president in my lifetime in the first term(minus CVD) to the worst his second term. Pretty much just ISR’s puppet at this point talks big and lies
"All things are near to God," says the Russian proverb. Truly everything is near: all spiritual and sentient creatures, the Angels, the souls of the departed, all living men, all animals, all material worlds. The Spirit of God passes through all things, a reasoning, pure, most refined Spirit, dwelling in every believing, pious soul. "The wild beasts of the field are in My sight," [Psalm 50:11] says He. "I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world." [Matthew 28:20] As an infinite Spirit, to God nothing is far away, but all things are before Him, as upon the palm of the hand. He is wholly everywhere, and all things are in Him. All things live and exist by Him.

@EricLDaugh Ha! Thats what happens when you have 100’s of tankers waiting to get out for 2 months. No victory here straight was open before the war and Iran didn’t have a nuke either. Spin it how you want still a major f’up for the U.S.
"He that eateth My flesh, and drinketh My blood, dwelleth in Me, and I in him." [John 6:56] This we feel, and experience confirms it. Most blessed, most full of life is the man who communicates of the Holy Mysteries with faith and heartfelt repentance for his sins. This we truly feel, and the contrast is also manifest. If we approach the Holy Cup without sincere repentance for sin, and with doubt, then Satan enters into us, and dwells in us, destroying our soul, and this, too, is most perceptible.

@sourpatchpandaa@krassenstein Only traitors don’t want us to come out ahead here. The fact is Trump is beholden to a foreign government and we continue to do their bidding. We have seen this with how Gaza and Lebanon have been allowed to play out. We are no longer sovereign and these talks are fake
It is said that a man was wrongly accused of committing a crime. To escape punishment, someone had to testify that the man was innocent. He called his three friends whom he trusted and asked them to come with him to the judge the next day and save him from punishment in this way.
The next day, the first friend said he could no longer come. The second one followed him to the door of the courthouse, but there he changed his mind and turned back. The third friend, the one the man trusted the least, went in, gave testimony on his behalf, and saved him, thus restoring his freedom.
The same thing happens with each of us. The three friends we have in life and who could speak about us, just as we truly are, are our wealth, our relatives, and all the good things we have done.
However, when we die, our wealth, no matter how great, remains here and does not help us with anything. Our relatives follow us to the grave, but they also remain here, in this world. Only our good deeds, the third friend, are the ones that follow us beyond death, showing God the true nature of our soul.
Therefore, the value of a person is given by the good deeds they have done.
It is true that this is a mixed-up generation. The only thing wrong with me is that I am not mixed-up, I know only too well what the duty of man is: to worship God and His Son and to prepare for the life of the world to come, not to make ourselves happy and comfortable in this world by exploiting our fellow man and forgetting about God and His kingdom.
If Christ were to pass through the world today, do you know what would happen to Him? He would be placed in a mental hospital and subjected to psychotherapy, and the same would happen to His Saints. The world would crucify Him today just as He crucified Him two thousand years ago, because the world has learned nothing but even more corrupt forms of hypocrisy. And what would happen if I, in one of my lectures at the university, one day told the students that all the knowledge of this world has no meaning when compared to our duty to glorify God, accepting the God-man who died for our sins, and preparing for the life to come? They would probably make fun of me, and university officials would fire me if they found out about it—because it is illegal to preach the Truth in our universities.
We say we live in a Christian society, but that is not true; there is a greater paganism and hatred towards Christ in the society in which we live, than in the society in which Christ was born.
Hieromonk Seraphim (Rose)
"How can you use your tongue to utter worthless and vile words, when precisely this mouth and tongue are receiving the Most Holy Body of Christ and are sprinkled with the Blood of our Savior, thus becoming a golden sword against sin and honored members of the Holy Spirit? Do not defile, then, the honor that God gave to the tongue, and do not use it for any sin. And together with your tongue, keep your heart also clean from all evil against your neighbor, and likewise guard your eyes and ears, keeping your entire body and soul in holiness."
St Sofian of Antim
