The Oklahoma City Thunder showed us all exactly why they’re the Champions tonight! They were down 15-0 to the San Antonio Spurs in the first couple minutes and came back to win the game 123-108. OKC had six players in double figures with big contributions from their bench - Jared McCain had 24 points, Jaylin Williams had 18 points and the NBA MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander finished a good game with 26 points!
I thought the Spurs lost their cool a little bit tonight and that hurt them.
Jason Witten on being the new OU tight ends coach:
"I love football and I love teaching the game, and Oklahoma is as prestigious a college football program as there is in the country. So I'm thankful to Coach Venables for the opportunity to work together. It's been clear to me from the outset that he's one of the best leaders of men in football. And he has the pieces in place to compete for championships, so I'm excited to work under him and Coach (Ben) Arbuckle and with the rest of the staff. It's a tremendous opportunity and I'm proud to be a Sooner.
"I know what the expectations and standards of Oklahoma Football are and I'm excited to lean into and embrace those. But along the way, it's also a great privilege to positively impact young men – to help them become the best players they can be and the best men they can be. That's one of the things I respect the most about Coach Venables – that those things aren't mutually exclusive. You can take on the responsibility to lead men but also be highly competitive in your craft. I try to uphold those standards on and off the field.
"I'm excited to get in that tight ends room and work with OU's great staff and players."

Kevin Durant being in the building to watch OKC raise their first ever banner & having to pretend he doesn’t care is top tier theatrics lmao.
Can’t believe the NBA actually gave us this.

JDub’s explanation of his wrist injury and process he had to go through to play is a must watch and makes his playoff run even more impressive.⬇️
Injections, a numb hand, no mobility, reworking his shot on the fly…
That 40 point NBA Finals game deserves a legacy bump.
Tuesday’s parade route was 2 miles long and packed beyond comprehension for its entire length. Plus, there was an enormous crowd at Scissortail Park. Here are some images that attempt to capture the magnitude, some of which were taken by City of OKC staffer Kevin Oravetz.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has signed a 4-year, $285 million extension instead of waiting a year and signing $380 million.
He leaves $105 million on the table for his team 😳
