The House just dealt a serious blow to national security by passing a War Powers resolution that directly undermines the president’s ability to defend America.

By a razor-thin 215-208 vote, seven Republicans broke ranks to side with Democrats, hamstringing critical military operations against Iran at a time when decisive action is needed most.

While both parties have historically utilized the War Powers Act of 1973, weaponizing it in this moment explicitly compromises executive authority—compromises the mission to keep our nation safe from hostile foreign threats.

Hey folks I have been thinking about this New Jersey race.

It really stands out to me how Dr Adam Hamawy can have those deep old ties to the Blind Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman and still win the Democratic primary for the 12th district.

This is the same guy convicted for the 1993 World Trade Center bombing plot and planning attacks on New York landmarks.

Hamawy spent time with him back in 91 including a long road trip traveled together translated for him and even took the stand as a defense witness at his 1995 terrorism trial.

I remember when associations like that with a convicted terrorist would raise serious red flags for anyone wanting to serve in Congress especially on national security.

It hits hard knowing what that kind of judgment could mean for the country. In the end it comes down to whether we hold candidates accountable for their past choices or just let it slide in a safe blue district.
