We will never forget the brave Newfoundlanders who fought on this day at Beaumont-Hamel.
Some 800 Newfoundlanders went into battle that day. Only 68 were able to answer the roll call the following day.
We will remember them.
Mary was a consummate community leader whose impact was long felt before, during, and since her time in public office. She was a woman of the people- she and her remarkable kindness will be missed.
My thoughts are with friends and family of Mary Hodder, a former municipal and provincial politician who worked tirelessly for the people she represented. As a deputy mayor in Marystown, and later as MHA for Burin-Placentia West, her contributions will be felt for years to come.
Roger and I began as adversaries but quickly became friends. His legacy in tourism and rural NL is undisputed, but I will forever remember him for his warmth and friendship. We enjoyed many good times together; thoughts & prayers to Mary, his children, and family.
I am broken-hearted after hearing of the passing of my friend Roger Jamieson. He had a staunch passion for this province and spent much of his life being a champion for tourism and the beauty of Newfoundland and Labrador. My condolences to his wife Mary, and all his family.
@judy_foote is a two time cancer survivor and while she takes on this latest battle she takes the opportunity to raise public awareness about the possibility of stroke. It can happen to any of us. Thinking of you my friend.
Such sad news to hear of my former colleague’s passing- perhaps one of the most colourful and funniest voices to be spoken in the House of Assembly. Thoughts to Bev, Allison and family.
Saddened to hear of Minister Derrick Bragg's passing, a kind & generous human being. He loved his life, he had a great sense of humor & dearly loved our province, especially our rural communities.
Condolences to Bev, Allison, his beloved Drew & all his family and friends, RIP
In the great outdoors of NL- a spectacular end to 2023. From far and near, thanks to all who made it a banner year! Wish you and your families a healthy and happy 2024.
#SemainedesVeterans#LeCanadasesouvient 🍁
For 21 days straight, @MUNMed learners have conquered Signal Hill for their fundraiser Hills for Humanity for my therapy. They are doing such an altruistic act, I am amazed at the comradery towards a fellow learner. Please RT and donate if you’re able: https://t.co/IXS0CSpt84
My family has started a Go Fund Me to open up new opportunities here and in Ontario and allow access to assistive devices.
I appreciate any support in this journey- RT, positive thought or a donation. Please consider lending your support!

Notre ville se transforme avec toujours plus de nature et d'espace pour les piétons !
Comme ici, dans la rue aux écoles du Capitaine Lagache du 17e, désormais végétalisée et accessible en toute sécurité aux petits et aux grands. 🌳
