Genuinely not trying to tell you what to say, Kurt. Just pointing out the twist we learned the hard way in Ukraine: Moscow doesn’t need to shut you up when it can build fake “Americans” who agree with you louder, faster and angrier than any real person can. Over time that chorus nudges what feels “safe” to say back. Suddenly what plays best to the bot farm feels like “what Americans really think.” That’s not free speech, that’s someone else ghost-writing your crowd.
@mhdksafa Absolutely right. This war which Putin started needs to stop right now. The only one who can stop the war tomorrow is Putin, and for him to do so will require massive international pressure on top of the recent military reverses Russia has suffered.
@MrsErikaKirk Sincere condolences on the dreadful loss of your husband.
Trump has dragged your country's reputation through the mud. America was the shining beacon on the hill, but the free world that for so many decades looked to it for leadership, now looks away in embarrassment.
@Da11ey@CANZUK I don't know, but I'd guess that free movement might result in people moving around to chase opportunities in their own particular careers and interests. Like, financial bods might tend to migrate to London, but in other industries the flow of bright minds might be the other way.
@r_aunt2512@plogistique@RichardGrenell I'm sorry - I know it must be disappointing. You thought you were electing a strong, competent man who would avoid wars and was good at making deals.
@plogistique@RichardGrenell It is extremely difficult to see why any other countries would contribute financially to the reparations the US has agreed to pay to Iran. Maybe Trump can bully one or two allies into making token payments for the sake of saving his face?
@RichardGrenell Sadly, the Iranian leadership figures killed by Trump were immediately replaced by men who are younger and more hardline. Not the kind of regime change most Iranians were probably hoping for. Additionally, Trump in the MOU promises not to interfere in Iranian internal affairs.
@Da11ey@CANZUK Absolutely - and I am very pro-CANZUK. #CPTPP meets many of the "trade pact" objectives of many #CANZUK supporters but not, I agree, other aspects such as free movement and security cooperation.
