Lots of couples share the decision, but only one shows up on the paper work. I'm retired and my wife is not. Guess that makes her my Sugar Momma. It also means I have more time for said paper work. So, my name is on more stuff.
We do have separate IRA's. Her's is diversified, mine is 100% TSLA.
